DAY 7: CHANGE
O God, on this seventh day of Christmas, we thank you for all the ways you have been with us over the past year and we confess our need to become more aware of your presence in the coming year. We know the new year will bring challenges as well as celebrations. By your grace, help us step into this new year, embracing the change that will come, the possibilities of what change can bring, and the need to change to be who God intends for us to be. Change our hearts, O God, so we will lead a movement of Jesus followers in this new year. Amen.
Today, the gift is change. Gather with it the gifts you’ve already received: the gift of courage, compassion, connection, communion, context, and community connector and you’re equipped to handle whatever change comes your way.
We’re giving God thanks for you and for the great things God has done in and through you in 2018.
